needle mesotherapy/ collagen injections

mezoterapija.jpg

What is needle mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy involves intradermal and sometimes subcutaneous administration of small doses of nutrients, microelements, trace elements, stimulants, and vitamins in a limited area and cyclically. Mesotherapy is used not only in cosmetology and aesthetic medicine but also in sports medicine (e.g. regeneration of tendons and ligaments), in surgery (accelerates the healing process of wounds), in internal (supporting the treatment of inflammation) or in psychiatry (in the treatment of anxiety, or depression).

Mesotherapy is performed to stimulate natural regeneration processes. Body parts such as the face, neck, cleavage, back of arms, shoulders, thighs, and buttocks are subjected to the procedure. During the process of biostructure and biostimulation of the skin.
Biorestructing, i.e. rebuilding skin components, through a physical factor, i.e. breaking the skin, which is a repair signal. As a result of inflammatory factors, the healing process and skin reconstruction are accelerated.
Biostimulation activates the biological functions of the skin to improve its physiology. Thanks to this, the elasticity and firmness improve. These are also various techniques that improve the quality and appearance of the skin, stimulating it to regenerate quickly, e.g. in the aging process or photoaging using laser therapy, dermabrasion, or chemical peeling. The most important thing is to choose the right therapy for your problem. Combination therapies, e.g. chemical peeling and needle mesotherapy, work very well. Thanks to bio revitalization, the healing, and reconstruction of the skin are accelerated, and the physiological environment in the skin that has been treated is restored.

Mesotherapy in aesthetic procedures

It is natural that wrinkles appear with age, the skin loses elasticity, firmness, and dehydration can be seen. These processes lead to changes in facial features and oval. Intradermotherapy meets the inevitable, delaying and eliminating the above processes.
According to research conducted by Anna Gala for the needs of scientific work, it is estimated that the most common reason for using aesthetic medicine treatments (including needle mesotherapy) is the desire to look more attractive. 86% of respondents cited this issue as an above-average reason, while 70% of respondents cited the desire to look young as the second reason. In the same studies, it was shown that aesthetic medicine procedures significantly improve the feelings of patients who undergo them.
Solutions used in the treatment are usually a mixture of several carefully selected active substances, which contain: vitamins, elements, hyaluronic acid, minerals, plant extracts. The sets of active substances given in micrococci are constantly being researched and expanded. In recent years, new substances have emerged, which are stem cells and platelet-rich plasma. Needle mesotherapy is directed to patients who are aware that skin regeneration takes time. The best results are obtained by using a whole series of treatments. Initially 4-6 every 2 weeks and maintenance treatment once every month afterward.

GUNA -collgen injections- class III medical device

The Italian pharmaceutical company GUNA has created a line of injectable collagen medical devices, the main active ingredient of which is a type I tropocollagen (porcine origin). They were created to treat damage to all structures of the human body that contain collagen.

CMDs preparations are intended for the regeneration and reconstruction of the skin of the face, neck, cleavage and the whole body, as well as for the reconstruction of the spatial structure of the subcutaneous tissue and muscles.

Collagen injections:

- Tissue

- Matrix

- Muscle

Why porcine origin?

The collagen contained in Guna Collagen Medical Devices is a type I collagen of porcine origin. It is preferred compared to bovine collagen as it is structurally more similar to human collagen. On a genetic level, the similarities between the two mammals Sus scrofa domesticus and Homo sapiens are remarkable: the two
species have very similar genomes and gene sequences. Nucleotide sequences, gene location, length and number of coding regions, and non-coding parts of DNA are some of the common genetic aspects between swine and human species.

Porcine collagen guarantees a high level of safety due to its extremely low immunogenicity. This makes collagen a material of choice for many applications, for instance in the aesthetic medicine field, including bio-scaffolds and
dermo-cosmetic fillers.

The glycoprotein sequences of the α1 chain and α2 chain of type I collagen of man and swine have a homology of 97% and 94% respectively.

MD-TISSUE contains type I collagen, vitamins B1, B2 and B6, vitamin C and magnesium gluconate. These ingredients have a comprehensive effect on ageing skin, and their use is possible through a mesotherapy treatment. The product itself is designed to create a protective barrier against free radicals in soft tissues, as well as physiological protection of connective tissue.

Composition: type I collagen, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, magnesium gluconate, saline

Type I tropocollagen

The main active ingredient of the product is collagen type I in the form of tropocollagen, which is incorporated into the collagen bioscaffold of the skin immediately after its application. Its use stimulates fibroblasts to neosynthesis of collagen while inhibiting the biosynthesis of MMP metalloproteinase, thus protecting the body against the breakdown of collagen in the extracellular matrix. The product stimulates the multiplication of fibroblasts and their migration to damaged areas of the skin. MD-TISSUE uses tropocollagen type I of pork origin, which is characterized by a very high quality of regeneration.

Mechanism of action

The mechanism of action of type I tropocollagen focuses on the connective tissue of the dermis. After injection, this component is acted on by endogenous proteolytic enzymes of the extracellular matrix, such as lysyl oxidase, LH2 lysine hydroxylase or peptidase. Tropocollagen particles are small in size, so they can easily connect with collagen fibres and form a solid scaffolding. The resulting collagen network rebuilds bonds with fibroblasts, which activates the process of collagen neosynthesis in fibroblasts. Subsequent injections of collagen complement the structure of the scaffolding, which - through maturation - leads to the activation of the reconstruction of the anatomical structure of the skin.

The other ingredients

As an auxiliary product substance, ascorbic acid, i.e. vitamin C, is used. Its strong antioxidant properties contribute to the reduction of free radicals, which protects the collagen present in the tissues. Ascorbic acid also has a positive effect on the maturation of collagen fibres. The product also contains B vitamins, i.e. B1, B2 and B6. They function as essential cofactors of the Krebs cycle - the production cycle of high-energy ATP molecules. Their impact not only accelerates the neosynthesis of collagen in fibroblasts but also has a positive effect on the process of rebuilding the bioscaffold formed as a result of the administration of type I tropocollagen. Magnesium gluconate, contained in the preparation, also contributes to the collagen maturation process.

The comprehensive composition of this product allows to perform regenerative treatments on the delicate skin of the face, neck and cleavage, as well as other areas of the body - including thighs, knees, buttocks, abdomen or hands.

A significant advantage of this medical device is the lack of specific contraindications. No cases of hypersensitivity to this product have been reported so far

MD-MATRIX is a product created to maximally accelerate tissue metabolism. It can be used to safely remove excess local fat, e.g. around the chin, malar bags but also to fight cellulite and can be used to reduce stretch marks and reduce scars.

Composition: type I collagen, citric acid, vitamin B3, saline

Type I tropocollagen contributes to the structural reconstruction of fibrous connective tissue, which is part of adipose tissue, both in local excesses of adipose tissue and in cellulite. Thus, the supply of blood and lymphatic vessels is restored, which improves metabolism and lymph circulation in a given area. Regeneration of fibrous connective tissue also affects the appearance of the skin covering a given area, thanks to the recovery of elasticity and elasticity of the subcutaneous tissue structures.

Citric acid is the primary excipient in MD-MATRIX and is the primary substrate of the Krebs cycle or citric acid cycle. It is a very strong "accelerator" of cellular metabolism, it gives energy in the form of ATP molecules.

Vitamin B3 (nicotinamide) is involved in the processes of cellular metabolism in adipose tissue and accelerates the reduction of local excesses of this tissue. Additional substances contained in MD-MATRIX enable the acceleration of metabolic processes in adipocytes, leading to faster fat burning. They activate metabolic processes in fibroblasts, which enables the reconstruction of the local connective tissue structure and leads to the restoration of proper tissue architecture and local microcirculation.

MD-MUSCLE is a product that is particularly applicable in aesthetic medicine. Its task is, on the one hand, to improve muscle tone and affect the regeneration of excessively flabby muscles, which is associated with the ageing process, and on the other - to reduce excessive muscle tension.

This is possible due to the unique composition of the preparation. Resting tension and muscle structure depend on connective tissue made of collagen.

Composition:  type I collagen, St. John's wort extract, saline

Type I tropocollagen is responsible for the regeneration and improvement of the muscle structure, as well as for its metabolism, due to the improvement of the function of blood vessels that run in this tissue and nourish the muscle. The proper muscle tone is restored. This is especially noticeable on the neck. The platysma muscle (broad neck muscle) becomes limp with age and leads to sagging skin, which adversely affects the appearance.

Restoring the proper resting tension of this muscle and improving the condition of the skin and fascia with which this muscle is fused will have a very positive effect on the appearance of the neck. Bioflavonoids are excipients from St. John's wort extract - hypericin, responsible for reducing excessive muscle tone. Quercetin and rutoside have a strong antioxidant effect, thanks to which they can protect collagen against damage. They also have an anti-inflammatory effect, which contributes to the improvement of the condition of structures made of connective tissue and blood vessels.

So we are dealing with the improvement of muscle function and thus the reduction of excessive tension, if any. This can be safely used in injections into the mimic muscles of the face, supporting the action of botulinum toxin or administered where the toxin is not administered, e.g. in the chin area to the mental muscle, or around the angle of the mouth to the lowering angle of the mouth muscle.
