1. The Juvelook skin booster causes a "foreign body reaction" in the tissue to which it is administered. This leads to the production of collagen around the PDLLA microspheres.

 

2. Radiofrequency current leads to controlled heating and micro-damage of the tissues around the needles, which triggers repair reactions. As a result, new collagen is also formed, and existing collagen fibres shrink.

Combining those 2 treatments we can obtain a double effect of collagen stimulation and an additional skin-tightening effect. As a result, we observe stronger revitalization and a greater lifting effect. PDLLA (Juvelook) and RF mutually enhance each other's effects

How many treatments you will need?

1. Radiofrequency micro-needling  only --> 3 sessions (one treatment every 4 weeks)

2. Radiofrequency+needle mesotherapy with skin-booster Juvelook --> 2-3 treatments (one every 2-3 months)

* You may need more treatments if you have a very deep acne scars or stretch marks

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

​

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding

• Thyroid disease (unregulated)

• Diabetes

• Epilepsy

• Autoimmune diseases, including Graves' disease and Hashimoto's thyroiditis, multiple sclerosis (MS), muscle weakness (Myasthenia), rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, Sjogren's syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, musculotendinous rheumatism, vitiligo, psoriasis, alopecia areata, etc. (be careful with skin itching of unidentified origin, atopic dermatitis, allergies)

• Conditions after treatment with ionizing radiation

• Cardiovascular diseases, e.g. thrombosis, haemophilia or temporary low blood clotting, hypertension, varicose veins (at the site of the procedure)

• Blood diseases (anaemia, thrombocytopenia)

• Taking anticoagulants, non-steroidal inflammatory drugs (e.g. Aspirin)

• Acute skin inflammation, dermatological problems

• Sensory disorders, healing disorders

• Metal, silicone implants in the treatment area

• Pacemaker

• Tendency to keloids and scarring

• Tuberculosis

• Viral hepatitis

• Therapy with Roaccutane or its equivalents

AFTERCARE:

​

- maintain increased hygiene at home

- do not wear make-up for 24 hrs

- change pillowcase/pyjamas/ bed sheet

- do not have contact with pets (do not hug them)

- do not touch your face a few hours after the treatment

- do not clean or stay in a dusty room/environment

- avoid sauna/gym/swimming pool for 3 days post-treatment

- you can use appropriate post-treatment cream (registered for use on damaged skin)

When can the RF Combo Injector be used after other treatments?

​

• Botulinum toxin – preferably RF should be done before btx. 3 RFs every month and then anti-wrinkle injections 

• Hydroxyapatite – no research

• Pdo, PLLA, polydioxanone threads – usually after 2-3 months

• Gouri liquid polydioxanone – no studies have been performed

• Dermal filler– usually after a month

• Polylactic acid - after Lenisna, even immediately after (on the same appointment), Sculptra has no tests

• Chemical peels – 2-3 weeks

• Fractional laser - one month after

• HIFU, other lasers and RF – usually after a month
